Halloween Costumes with Simple Hairstyles: For you to embrace your inner hero this year

Halloween is creeping up on us and if you haven’t figured out your costume yet, don’t worry because we have some ideas for you! There’s more to your costume than the outfit and makeup, your hair is one of the biggest part of the whole ensemble. That’s where we come in, not only have we compiled some fun Halloween costumes, but we’ve included their iconic hairstyles, so you can pull off your best Halloween look yet.

Katniss from the Hunger Games:
Popular book trilogy turned movies amazed the minds of many when they were released, more specifically the movies which introduced the series to even more fans. The main protagonist, Katniss Everdeen is the subject for our first costume, with her iconic side braid and bangs, this hairstyle is nothing to sweat about. So, gather up a black jacket, black leggings, a bow and arrow, put your hair in your best side braid, and you’ll be ready to be a tribute in the Hunger Games.

Wonder Woman:
She started as a comic book character in 1942 and took the world by storm when she hit the big screen in 2017. This costume is definitely more challenging, as there is a specific outfit to Wonder Woman in order to get the look correct. You can find the costume here and fortunately the hair is easier to recreate than the outfit. All you need to do is create some waves (not too curly and not too straight) in your hair, throw Diana’s iconic headband on under it and you’re ready to save the world.

Donna from Mamma Mia!
Whether you’ve seen the original one or the sequel, Donna is an iconic character in the Mamma Mia! world. From young Donna, portrayed by Lily James, to older Donna, portrayed by Meryl Streep, they keep a similar look in both films. Donna’s go-to outfit is quite simple: a pair of overalls is a must with a long sleeve white shirt and simple white sneakers. Fortunately, the hair is just as simple, all you need is some waves in your hair, closer to the straighter side, with half of it pulled back. With this costume you’ll be ready to take a boat ride to Greece and open up a hotel of your own!

Rosie the Riveter:
This iconic photo has become the focal point for many Halloween costumes throughout the years and it isn’t stopping now. From 1943 to present day, it has truly become a one of a kind. To recreate this World War II photo, pull your hair back into a bun, wrap a red bandana around your head, put on a blue button up shirt, and flex your muscles!

These are only some of the many Halloween costumes you could dress up as this year! Hopefully we gave you some good ideas for you to channel your inner hero by recreating one of these powerful ladies for this year’s Halloween.
