Fall/Winter Fashion Must-Haves Part 2
Last November, we wrote a
precursor blog post to this one, where we outlined other fall/winter fashion
essentials (sweaters and scarves). However, to be able to include all the
season’s essentials, it would be too much for one blog, so we decided to split
them into two parts. This is our second one, so if you want to catch up on the
first post you can read it here: https://www.tlcsalonandspamilford.com/2018/11/fallwinter-fashion-must-haves.html
Beanies
Beanies can be boiled
down to two different styles – with pompoms or without, sure there are many
varieties within each category, but we’re going to keep it simple. This
accessory is perfect for any fall/winter occasion, not only to keep your head
warm, but to add a little flair to your outfit.
With Pompoms: In
contrast to beanies without pompoms, beanies with pompoms are more useful when
you’re going to be out in the cold for extended periods of time. The majority
of these hats are heavier and keep your head very warm – which is why they are
perfect for running out of the house in the dead of the winter.
Boots
Although some of the most
important pieces of a winter outfit are the top, like a sweater, but like any woman knows, shoes are the
shining star of any ensemble. And nothing says a perfect winter outfit like a
pair of boots.
Ankle: We’ll
kick off this section with ankle boots, this style is more suited for the fall since
they won’t keep you as warm. However, on those rare winter days where the
weather isn’t below freezing, break out these bad boys and rock them with
whatever scarf/sweater combo you choose!
Knee High: This
style of boot is much more versatile during the winter, although they are still
not ideal for trudging through snow, they will do you better than the ankle
boots. They will keep your legs nice and warm, especially if you add some knee
high socks into the mix. These boots are great with jeans, but perfect with
leggings!
Combat: Combat
boots are widely popular with the young adult and teen crowd, as they are
versatile, not terrible if you use them to walk through the snow, and go with a
lot of casual outfits (like flannels, crewnecks, and other less dressy
sweaters). These boots have taken on many different forms from different brands
like Doc Marten, and originate as a military boot for combat.
Winter: Our
final boot is not just one style, but a slew of boots that are perfect for
winter and the snowy weather. From Timberland boots to L.L. Bean’s ‘Duck Boots’
to the stereotypical snow boot, any of these shoes will do the trick to get you
through the winter. These different styles will allow you to mix style with
comfort and practicality when there’s a foot of snow outside.
That’s all we have for
your fall/winter fashion essentials! If you have any suggestions or essentials
that we missed, let us know in the comments of this blog or on the social media
post it’s shared on. Thanks for reading and if you enjoyed this post, give it a
share to spread our fashion essentials to even more people!
